damn things are everywhere. after being away for a while, they just seem to have taken up residence and at night just come out and fly everywhere. for every 1 i kill, 2 more seem to appear. is there something i can use to kill them? a poison or something? sites i've seen just recommend putting strips of stuff in the wardrobe by the clothes, but that isn't where they are. i need stuff to put around the house and i don't know if the strips would attract them, or just kill them if they happen to land on it.

anyone else had anything like this? i don't know where they suddenly came from.

a bright hot lightbulb tends to do the job, get a spotlight bulb or something like the ones used in lava lamps

maybe even stick a bunch of those sticky strips around a lamp on the floor and just leave it on at night

your carpets might be infested, if its really bad then you would probably be better off seeking some professional pest control help.

spiders love moths, get around 100 spiders and release them into your flat, they should deal with the problem in no time.

Robbie G, it's been a while since I've seen gold from you :D

Probably should make a cold cathode + 2x120mm fan 'trap' for the moths

I'm sure there are a few good moth traps out there, if not, grab a book an start swingin'. Oh, and for god sakes, try to sleep with your mouth closed.

I recommend setting them on fire.

This really, my sister had a moth issue a couple of years ago and ended up having to get professional pest control people in (who had to come in several times) to sort it and get rid of some things due to eggs etc ...

We had a bit of a problem recently and after trying spray, paper and the plastic hanging things, the best solution was just the sticky strips on the floor underneath our coats and in other areas where they were living. They were gone within a week or so. It actually surprised me just how many there were .
