Damien, Minty - We're riding Saturday morning if you're up for it. Starting from my place about 8. Minty - is your trust sorted? I'll send you my address, or you could meet us at Four Lane Ends if that's easier? We'll almost certainly be going that way to begin with.

That sounds good. Im pretty sure my trust is sorted. Ive got the little enable trust box ticked in my cp.

It would probably be easier for me to meet you at four lane ends, all depends on where your place is in relation to mine. ive not been asked to work saturday yet, so far so good!:D

Yes, 8am is fine.

What's the route? I'm thinking a nice 30mile round trip or thereabouts. More if you're up for it but I'm easy.

Yup! Live in Wimbledon and head into Surrey hills most weekends. There are a few here that live and cycle around the same sort of area.

Cool, I was going to join a club but there doesn't seem to be many around that are very convenient so would be good to ride with some others!

I'll send you some info in trust at lunchtime. The chances of us not going via Four Lane Ends are miniscule, but I'll text you or something on the off chance we do go a different way.

I imagine everyone will be taking it fairly easy, after a bit of a break over winter, and we rarely go over 40 miles. They'll probably want to ramp things up soon, as they'll be doing the Cheshire Cat at the end of March, which takes in Mow Cop (Google it - it looks like hell) so we'll end up heading up over to Ramsbottom to do the Rake as practice.

That sounds like an epic ride that cheshire one. I might look into it myself. I don't drive though so it'll take some planning.

If my lot are going then someone is sure to be driving who could sort you out.

My turbo trainer arrived yesterday, looking forward to being able to cycle an hour a night regardless of the weather!

Our local cycling club is also running Turbo sessions in a school hall for £4 a time, sounds ideal to make sure I get the most out of the trainer before the spring/drier months.

The Cheshire Cat is one which I would like to do this or next year. Seems like one of the main sportives around here.

If you're doing Mow Cop for the first time, bigging it up in your head is probably the right thing to do. You will find it easier than you expect. It's the last 15, 20m which is the killer.

Apparently only about 40% of the people doing the Cheshire Cat actually make it up Mow Cop, and everyone else ends up walking up
