I wasn't fussed on the original pics but the pics in the online shop look great. My only concern would be it would get very hot on a sunny day, the old kit got around that with the white panel on the back.

Anyone seen the new Team Sky kit? Looks quite nice and some reasonably priced items. Thoughts?

Have you got any links to some proper pictures?
I'v only seen the Rapha pics and they are in typical Rapha 'artistic' style, no proper views of the new kit.

Ordered myself another bike, this time im building my own and have gone for a China bike! Dengfu FM098 based on the Venge:), now i need to decide what groupset to go for, the Ultegra Di2 on my Canyon is nothing short of wonderful... expensive tho:(

Ah yes, i didnt see that.
It's only 9speed tiagra though.

Anyone thats got one recently has ordered 9spd but got 10spd, i imagine thats all you will get as 2012 Tiagra is only 10 speed now and 2012 Sora is the old Tiagra 9spd.

Fitted my road racers, god i wish the bike had mudguard eyes - pretty much got them spot on now but its taken a while and will no doubt need tweaking when i ride it more than 500m!!!!

:D
I had a quick go of putting my road racers on but got annoyed so left it. I am planning on doing them tomorrow but imagine they won't stay in place for long.

I've got some SKS mudguards to put on my bike. I might have a go at them tonight. I've got proper eyelets, so hopefully they'll go on quite tidily...

Hi all,

I had two Fenix LD20s for commuting, one of which has now given up outputting at anything other than the lowest lumen setting, so it's time to replace it with something better as I don't feel it is powerful enough.

Can I have some recommendations for lights? I've heard that you can get some powerful and cheap stuff on ebay, but most involve long delivery times as they come from abroad.

I have the following criteria:
  • Budget of around £100. Can stretch to a bit more if necessary.
  • Waterproof.
  • Easily mount and unmount from bike or helmet, as the bike is left in a car park during the day.
  • Bright enough to illuminate the road so that I can see, and also be seen.
  • Replaceable battery if possible. Not absolutely necessary though.

I have a Lezyne Macro Drive and it ticks a few of those boxes:

  • £40-£65 online
  • Has been out in torrential rain several times for upti 6 hours at a time without missing a beat.
  • No screws, nuts, really simple rubber clamp system and similar additional helmet mounts can be bought for a few quid.
  • It's 300 lumens, not super bright but certainly enough to see where your going on unlit roads at up to and around 20mph.
  • I don't think the battery is user replaceable.

I'd look at Exposure and see what you can get second hand or push your budget a bit.

The Sirius is 360 lumen, the Joystick 480 lumen and the Diablo about 650 lumen. Brilliand engineering, completely waterproof and can be helmet or handlebar mounted.

For £150 you can get a Strada Mk3 which, for me, is the perfect road light.

Thanks.

I can't find any Strada MK3, only Strada MK4 which is for around £240. Was it a typo, or my searching skills suck?
