US: what series next ?

Justified!

New season starts in January so if you start now you can get caught up before it begins. Justified will have you hooked by the time the opening credits finish on the first episode and you'll be kicking yourself that you never watched it before by the end of the episode.
It's one of the few shows I watch, looking forward to it starting again in January. Southland back in February too.

This, was hugely and pleasantly surprised by this series.

I tried to watch Justified but couldn't get past the first few episodes. When that cop just kept using the pun, "I shot him, but it was JUSTIFIED" I just groaned. Seemed so cheesy. How you can rate this above The Shield I'll never know.

You have to get through the first season, which is kind of hit and miss. The 2nd season is some of the best TV I've seen. The 3rd season is good but not up to the standards of the 2nd.

im just finished second series was pretty decent tbh not got the polish of the bigger series but decent

New sci-fi series coming out called defiance in a month or two (April).

Coming soon to Syfy, Defiance is the innovative serial drama from the minds behind Battlestar Galactica and Farscape. Drifting through a terramorphed American landscape, the mysterious Nolan settles in a border town where aliens and humans fight against the fragility of peace. Tune in weekly as the citizens of Defiance thrive in this hostile world, and see how their struggles impact your war in the high-octane multi-platform MMO shooter from Trion Worlds!

I dont see The Sopranos mentioned there!

Breaking Bad is the obvious one you're missing. A lot of people consider it the best show on TV at the moment except maybe GoT.

im going to start fringe next a lot seem to like it so thats next inline

breaking bad or sopranos if you haven't seen them

ok tell me about fringe, the last series I watched was as they
starting going into the parallel universe.
did it get weird or better??

also what series would I need to start from not sure when I stopped watching it.

rotters

It get's weirder. Tbh the parallel universe is probably the best era of the show. The characters become really good and you can almost tell the actors are enjoying playing their alternate selfs. If you don't enjoy that bit you probably won't like the rest.
