guess there's not much point in this thread![]()
that's not going to work if the consumer has admitted to damaging the product!

No but he could DSR the rest (although the point is moot if it arrived in December).
I guess you haven't ready any of the replies advising not to do that?![]()
So how was he working before this new motherboard arrivedAnd if having a h/w failure is such a high impact event, then the numpty should have a backup...
Its scan.... says it all
sorry to be a quoting troll, but as above.
I sent back a graphics card to them under DSR it was mint, and they tried to tell me there were marks on the card, and went as far as calling me a lier when I disputed these marks.
They gave it the front saying we'll take pictures and e-mail you etc etc, when I pressed them on it awaiting for said pictures they backed down and said oh we've opened another from stock and it has the same marks....
I digress avoid these sharks where possible![]()
TBH it would be good for OCUK if they could other something similar to scansure.
IMO OCUK don't need such gimmicry their customer service is second to none! And as has been proven by your friends experience, scamsure isn't worth the paper it's written on.
What really gets my blood going though is being called a lier, I swear I would have swung for the bloke on the end of the phone....
I also hate all the publicity they get too like on Hexus and on the back of mags like Custom PC etc, like their something wonderful, when clearly they are not!
Yeh the guy to his face called him a liar, when they are the ones clearly lying. The hypocritical *insert swear word here*. They basically said we don't give a crap we screwed you over we have plenty of customers.

He has a laptop, but when doing graphic design work, would you rather work on a top of the range rig with 7680 x 1400 + another 1080p monitor or on a laptop with integrated graphics that can barely power one of his 3 monitors?
He needs to be able to power his set of 3 monitors and the other 1080p for clients to view at the same time.
Using a MBA with HD3000 would vastly affect my workload p/h as-well.
