Life after brain trauma : BMW Z3

Looks in good nick, a nice purchase for £1300.

I'm thinking that a round of detangoing might freshen the front up a little more too - was there a facelift for the Z3 with clear indicators?

If I remember rightly you are the guy I helped get the Clio 200 at a good price? I think we had almost identical specs as well?

I sold my Clio 200 to a local Renaultsport dealer back in May and got a fantastic price for it. While I'm not suggesting you definitely will, it's worth checking as you may find you'll get more than the GFV at the end of the contract. They will pay the finance company for you and you pocket the difference. Worth checking :)

That's right, only my 200 is SORN and uninsured making that a bit difficult.

in Coupe form, sure, but in Roadster form it would appear to have inherited many of it's non-M stablemates shortcomings.

That said one thing the Z3 did offer that nothing else did for similar money was a big capacity 6 pot in a small Roadster. The MX5 is a better handling car for sure but as a powerful (200bhp in 1996 isnt bad) cruiser the Z3 2.8 had some appeal.

But, it would have the power and the better handling of the M series to over come some of the short comings, which the 2.8's extra power alone didn't compensate for.

As I have always said, M series BMW's are a different kettle of fish to non M cars, which are by and large pointless up until recently for "sporty" driving.

Can't complain at all for a grand, but I wouldn't be seen dead in a Z3 ;)

Have you actually had a brain injury?

Haha no. I just thought I was absurd to get one. I know they're not the most popular z cars but I'm actually really enjoying it.

I love mine, but it does have a 3.0 6 pot and a roof :p
But it didn't cost £1300!
