Piers Morgan vs Alex Jones: Guns

hmm I have yet to hear a convincing argument as to why any firearms should remain legal
if guns were invented today would they be legalised for general consumer use?
can you guarantee that a mass-murdering device will never fall into the hands of a lunatic (just because a vetting process is in place)?

As clarified by someone we are talking about semi-automatic rifles, the term 'assault rifle' is pretty meaningless and often deliberately used by the media to confuse.
Walk into a cinema with a pistol and you will not kill as many people as you would with an assault rifle. Trigger down, spray. That's just about it really, isn't it?

Except as you are referencing the Batman killings, the guy used a Smith & Wesson M&P15, which again is a semi-automatic weapon. There is no point and spray, there is just pull trigger, pull trigger, pull trigger. Same as a handgun, therefore the rate of fire is the same.
If you want to kill lots of people, fertiliser bombs are fantastically more effective and there is a small chance you might get away with it. Why do think terrorist groups with access to any automatic weapon you could think of, still use simple bombs.

Their legal and political system is different from ours for a start, theirs is government by the people so whatever rights granted to the people by their constitution come first, not what the state thinks what rights the people should have (as in ours). I'm sure a Chinese politico would be as opposed to their right to free speech as you are to their right to bear arms.

A gun's primary use is killing.

Also, where are you getting the idea terrorist groups don't use guns when they are freely available? They use them all the time and I'd be willing to bet terrorist groups have killed far more people with guns than they have with fertilizer bombs.

The worst that happens with freedom of speech is you might hear things you don't like. The outrageously long record of dead children shows you what can happen when you allow freedom of guns.

Alex Jones is a professional entertainer who has carved out a lucrative niche. He makes a lot of money off that shtick he does. He's basically an ACTOR.
 
What you need to understand about America is money comes above all else. You won't find a single famous person in America who is actually sincere. All of them, including the politicians, even the church leaders are doing a shtick to appeal to their demographic to make money. All of them, piers morgan included. It's all an act, they are all whores. I suspect a huge number of these people are in fact clinical sociopaths. You won't make it anywhere in those businesses (including religion) being sincere or "normal"... only sociopaths excel.
 
I completely agree with alex jones on the topic of gun ownership. I loled at the interview, absolutely epic. I am in favour of banning guns but from the government not from the population.

Some people just can't see past the superficial and have a very limited knowledge of history and democide.

I laugh how he tries to make alex look like a conspiracy nut and it back fired. Then he tries to make the same point over and over and alex just explains that uk has a higher violent crime rate than the US.

Per capita violent crime statistics USA is not even on the top 20. Well last i checked the statistics.

Piers boring morgan also refused to give the idea psychotropic pharmaceuticals are to blame and not guns the time of day. Like they have blinkers on, realy blinkers.

There is no gun argument IMO. It's one of the most deeply ingrained things in American culture. They have the constitutional right to bear arms as a counter balance to the government.

If you don't like guns don't go to the USA. Simple.

If you don't like burkas and people getting appendages chopped off don't go to Saudi Arabia. It's not your place to criticize.

Millions of people in history did not die in the name of freedom so some drugged up wack job with a gun can throw it all away. There never seems to be a shortage of self righteous hypocritical individuals willing to help with that cause.

"it will never happen" I can guarantee that is exactly what the 250 million victims of democide said as well.

The "we need guns in case we need to take over the government" argument became obsolete with the musket (i.e when the military and the government had the same weapons).
