With the 8x00 series just announced, why spend so much on a 7900 card?
...just kidding, 8x00's are doomed to be The Emporers New Clothes and the fastest card on the planet always demands a high premium. I'd buy two if I could afford them.
The 8000 series AMD have announced is OEM channel only, these are simply current 7000 series re-branded and not available in retail channels at all.
Retail 8000 will come around May and will be a very different specification indeed.![]()

Hoping Haswell is close the 8970 too, will make a pointless but exciting upgrade![]()

But the question on everyone's lips is "Can you crossfire 2 of them?"![]()
Only if you can find room in your case for the 2 rads and 2 PSUs (each card uses up to 600w).
I think 3 or 4 MSI lightnings on water would be a lot more fun.![]()
Are you going to get one?
I don't think you've got yourself a dual 7970 yet have you?
£1200 though, no thanks from me![]()
Sounds like what you really want topfan is a review of the card! They'll come soon!
