Hey guys, I bought an Asus xonar DGX 5.1 soundcard. Installed it into my motherboard, however when i boot up my pc, theres no output to my monitor.

I uninstalled the soundcard, and my pc boots up fine but it boots up to a message saying "BIOS Configuration has failed, boot up default configuration etc.."

Any suggestions?

Motherboard is : gigabyte z77 d3h

Which slot did you fit the card into?

Shouldn't make any difference (standing by to be corrected) as to which slot, but I personally would add it to the smally PCI-Express slots, and not the full sized ones

Yeah, tried both slots still did not work. Ive updated the BIOS also, still no fix.

Same card same problem (new build in sig). Once i uninstalled the sound card the PC booted up and installed windows ok.

I think the problem on mine may have been the proximity to the graphics card?

I didn't try it in the other slots, i'll do so tonight and see what happens.

same sound card and motherboard here, and i'm having the exact same problem - though i've tried all PCI-E x1 slots, as well as the PCI-E x4 slot and its still not working! any other possible suggestions? :)
