At least it's warm and dry in there.
It's not going to be dry for long :p I tried my first Sufferfest last week and ended up with a pool of sweat around my bike :(

It was decided that the temperature was too low today for our normal club run, so we did a MTB run instead. Makes a nice change sometimes and gave me a good chance to try out the GoPro i got for xmas.

Coming back into town on the road, it was clear to see that we are all roadies at heart:

weather says it will snow tomorrow.. :) should i take my bmx for 23 mile commute or my roadie on 23mm slicks!? :O i know i can keep my bmx in control but i've never had a chance to ride a road bike in the snow..

Hurrah. I threw down the gauntlet and completely stripped my front brake and rebuilt it. I figured out it was the centering screw that was making it stick, so I've now managed to get it working again. Score 1 for fixing things at home instead of just giving up and going to a shop.

You're in London; the roads will be gritted and the cars will clear the snow.

I only worry about the snow and ice because I pass through Richmond Park. It's usually 2c colder there and it's not gritted.

true! depends how much snow there will be :) i pass through finsbury park - that is never gritted.. and through hyde park on my way home :)

Snowing here, but only a wee bit. Might go for a ride tonight, after the kids are asleep, but just a short one. Will take the mtb if it's looking ropey.

i set them up with a film to watch. that way i dont get bored and quite enjoy it. :)

Thanks, I'll remember that the next time I'm trudging around and getting soaked in sub-zero temperatures. ;)

Plus, no punctures or people trying to knock me off my bike, the idea is becoming more appealing.

Went out for a 30miler this morning and omg it was cold. I'd learnt from experience and stuck a snood down my pants though so at least my nethers survived, but jeez my feet. Girlfriend got me a bowl of luke warm water to stick them in when I got back and it felt like molten lava. As they defrosted I've never been in so much pain. Unbelievable!

Went with some mates who are new to cycling so a relatively comfortable 14.5mph average but still a nice ride. http://app.strava.com/activities/37381196

Gah! Knocked down to 3rd place on the base miles challenge. You cheeky bar stewards...

I knew not being able to get any rides in this weekend would screw me over.

I'm down to 9th... I'm going to head out for a short ride this evening, which should get me up to 7th again.

The warm bit isn't a good thing with sufferfest!!!

Can't see a bucket though?

Very true.

Is it me or are trainers incredibly boring to use?

How do you all find Sufferfest? I found the one I did (Angels) pretty good but the music is just terrible!

I actually had my first, and last I hope, clipless accident today because of the music, cleats and laminate wood flooring don't mix! I got off the bike to mute the video and put some of my own songs on and my feet just shot out from under me haha.

Aiming to do a sufferfest video every other day to keep me in good shape until the racing starts again in spring. Got a Sportive next Sunday so looking forward to that too.
