Need youre advice on this car

The best thing to do would be to view some Vectras and make up your own mind. I have one I use as my daily workhorse and have now covered over 35K in it without major issue.

There is nothing wrong with the Vectra and as per another thread you can pick up Vectra C 1.8 SRi's with sat nav, air con, cruise etc etc for under £2k. They are reliable and simple to maintain and fix.

Only when taken in isolation, why spend the same money and end up with an inferior product, you wouldn't do it with PC components so why put up with it in cars?

I have never found a vectra inferior to a Mondeo. Both are about the same and for £2k you would be best just buying the better of whichever turned up.

Personally I think the vectra C is a better car than the Mondeo of the same age but that's my opinion.

Lol. Sorry for the spelling what do you recomend i save up 4

Oh the ironing.

As has been said - the Vectra and Mondeo are very similar cars. Both boring, cheap, imageless large hatches. If a Mondeo isnt for you then the Vectra probably isn't. They dont have a better image or do anything better than the mondeo at all.

The Mondeo does a lot better than the Vectra - reliability and handling namely. If you dont like cars like that then fair enough, but the Vectra offers nothing over the Mondeo

Well i can only conclude you don't know much about cars.

Did u like wat i did dere

To be honest, not much between the Vectra and Mondeo for value or reliability. They both do a similar job and pretty reliably. I just don't like the way Vauxhalls drive and for that reason I'd pick a Mondeo over a Vectra any day.

It's the steering that does it for me with the Vectra (and the now very dated looking interior) - It's like someone connected up a series of elastic bands up and down the length of the car and made that the interface between the column and rack. As they get older it can start loading up a few seconds after you've started turning the wheel etc too which just makes it horrible to use.

The mk3 mondeo's interior still looks much better to my eyes, plus it has normally weighted steering but those are the only real standout differences for me especially when using the entry level engines.
