I'm buying 2 x GTX670...2gb or 4gb?

Hmm, just when I thought it was easily a case for me to go 4gb (2560x1600), this pops up. :)

Since I have no plans to go tri-sli (don't think my motherboard would like it anyway), it now seems that 2gb cards are the way to go.

I miss the good old days when you bought a card, plugged it in and started gaming. :)

It has saved you a few quid though. The good thing is, regardless of 2GB or 4GB, plug it in and away you go :)

2GB is definitely the way to go! It has been tried and tested by many people and they claim that 2GB of VRAM is the so called "sweetspot" for gaming.
As for SLI, 2GB will be fine for dual screen SLI but if you plan on ever going Tri screen SLI buy the 4GB version.

OK so you can predict the future, then?

You're awfully brave to make assumptions, especially in the gaming market.

The next gen consoles are predicted to hit in 2014 at the earliest. By that time, to play BF5 and Far Cry 5, we will all need to upgrade to get the highest in game gfx settings anyway.

Don't see why when SLI GTX 480 are much faster than a 680 and the 680 is more than enough

Just my thoughts. I would have expected to upgrade my 680's by 2014 but that is just me. Maybe nothing justifiable to upgrade to but again, a crystal ball would help :)
