uniQ, Ti track frame, for fixie skidding in style

In my case that would be more like face planting with no style lol. I'm keeping my eye out for a used Look 464 track frame atm :p

I've got that on the shopper / kid transport bike. It's lovely and looks great with a matching Brooks saddle. The only issue I've had is losing the ends off the cork bar plugs which has happened on a couple if occasions.

How comfy is it compared to LizardSkins? That's the only negative I've found from reviews. Not sure if it would be much of an issue though as I always wear gloves?

Time for a service as I've had bike for nearly 5 months and a check up is required now

Question is, LBS or Evans cycles
I've used Evans before and they very good workshop but going to cost £60

LBS is near ,£35,but never had a service from them..

Given it's my cf slx canyon, its kinda of my pride and joy Lol

Which to go for.....

How many coats do you normally apply?

it was sanded down to bare metal - 2 coats of primer + wet sanding + another coat of primer

then i went with 3 coats of white

and 4 coats of florescent orange :) without lacquer, wanted to keep the matte look to it.

It's not even close to being as comfortable. The DSP stuff is great and has excellent grip in the wet.

The leather looks great, on the right bike.

I saw it on a Ti build. Brooks Honey I would probably get Brooks Brown which is a bit darker but think it would really suit my Ti:

Is that £60 including the discount they are currently doing?

Looks like this icy horrible weather is set to continue for a few weeks yet :( If it does, I'll not even get to 200 miles this month. Oh well, I didn't ride at all in December, so anything is a bonus, I guess.

anyone had their alu frame dipped/stripped/polished/lacquered by professionals? any ideas on the cost or who would actually do this in london?

Just a guess, but i think it would probably be more than you paid for the bike.

You might also need a bike shop to strip it if you dont have all the tools yourself (bottom bracket tool, headset press)

Nice!

I'm on one coat of primer and 5 of black. Will finish applying lacquer when I get home.

So you find yourself needing to do this each year?

I've taken advantage of the cold snap to drop my weekender in for a service a the LBS. Hopefully have it running like new ready for my trip up to Planet X to get the bike fit that I hope to get in for next month. I'll be picking up my custom Pompino at the same time too :D

Quick question
Thinking of getting some me bibs, as current ones ate turning into commuting bibs Lol.

Thought about assos but will I see a real difference between them and my Gore power 2 bibs?

If so what's better
e Assos T FI.Uno_S5
Or
T_Pro Bib Short S2

Someone said the s2pad is Superior to the s5 ?
Thanks

i have the tools to strip it :) but removing paint and polishing it up and then spraying a clear coat is a job i dont have time for :/ ill have to do more research.. or just paint it black :D
