If reincarnation was proven?

Am i the only one who thinks this would be quite horrible and unfair, you may not be aware of previous lives but who really wants to endure existence for so long, especially considering life throughout most of history and even today can be pretty bad for many people while the rest is pretty mundane for the majority with the odd bit of good, if you add up the pros and cons i think non existence is preferable in the long run, maybe if we had the choice to return and could spend as much time as we like in a lucid dream like world it wouldn't be so bad, still the ultimate choice of whether we want to exist or not is important.

It's cruel to an extent, but a blessing we don't know we live forever. Anyway, I think when the universe is done we all return to the source to be recycled.

Since it whoooooooooooooooooshed over your head I will explain that everybody who has regression hypnotherapy is always somebody famous in a past life.

If you go to a quack then yes, did you give them a tip?

The more reason to make the world a better place not just for ourselves now but for our future selves in another life. Not being aware of previous lives does make it less of something to endure.

I actually hope that it is like this and not only that but those people who are selfish and contribute to inequality, etc. in a future life get to live in the mess they made (not that they'd ever know sadly).

Which is why reincarnation is a popular thought, it sorts out any injustices in this world meaning that the good people get rewarded and the bad people get punished. It is just heaven and hell in a different form and another excuse not to actually do anything about the bad people.

I don't follow the last bit, sorting out the bad people in this life helps to make the next life more tolerable.

I don't personally hold such a tight link between reincarnation and karma I think karma is a somewhat incidental aspect of it.

Some rationalisation there! So you're saying that people believe in reincarnation as an excuse to not do something about the bad people, whoever they are :/
