I just received a Asus 3GB 7950, the coloring is terrible and the frame rates are worse and less consistent than my overclocked GTX570. BF3 is unplayable. Drivers are up to date, i have tweaked the desktop color settings and don't know what to do next. I suppose i should send it back. -_-

I doubt it's worse than your 570. A 7950 is faster than a 580 by a good margin.

Have you removed the old drivers? Most problems like this when switching brands are caused by the person installing the card. :p

Cool story bro.

Yes i removed the Nvidia drivers before installing the Catalyst. The frames drop heavily as soon as particles are thrown around. I have measured the frame differences, given that this card has over three times the stream pipes, i expect much higher ability to process AA. Crappy drivers?

Follow the guide i posted above if you want to try and solve your problems. I'd also advise to use the supplied Driver Fusion to sweep your system of nvidia drivers at the same time.

I think Rossi~ signature is an appropriate thing to have in this thread :p

@ petapacket, did you use Driver Sweeper? you may still have remplants of Nvidia's Drivers lurking in the registry conflicting with AMD's Drivers. :)

@ petapacket. Many, many people have no issues with AMD cards, so it is deffo a case of PEBKAC.

Do what Matthew says and you should be fine.

Like i said, i've done the typical installation procedure, using the provided CD to install AMD drivers after wiping my system clean of Nvidia. What is Rossi's signature?

Well it isn't my fault. The driver CD should provide the drivers, i tried to update and was told i had latest versions. I followed the steps in that guide and it has added a few FPS but nothing exceptional. With maxed settings i'm averaging 60 FPS now, which is slightly better than my GTX570 when overclocked. However the color/contrast/brightness calibrations is appalling. I've keep trying to fix it and it's never right.

STFU

That there is your problem. Grab the latest drivers from the AMD site and you will be good.

I have a 7950 and have no issues with colours or performance. It will be a setting or a tweak needing somewhere.
