It’s funny how people rage some of the times in this game. I mean I have shouted at my TV once or twice or been annoyed. But never to the point of messaging someone to rage at them.
I got the Gold Cup Final last night. I was playing this guy who was pretty good, his passing was a bit predictable the more I played him but he was quite good at dribbling. His only problem was because his passing was so predictable I was intercepting a lot of his “goal creating” chances. So he rarely got a shot off. I scored an early on goal which was a beautiful early cross and diving header into his goal. We get to half time and it’s still 1-0 to me. He was good at pressing but just could not finish. Same back really, I was getting some good chances but he was pretty good at defending and closing me down.
The second half I don’t know if his brother took over playing or he just decided to play awful. But all of a sudden all he was doing was 1-2 passing all the time as quick as possible with pretty much no control. This meant that all of his players except like 2-3 of his defenders were running up towards my goal. So once I got the ball from a sloppy pass he makes, I think it was pretty obvious what I was going to do. He has 2-3 defenders standing around midfield, meanwhile I have 4-5 of my midfields/forwards standing around midfield. So once I got the ball of course I was going to smash the ball up field to my attackers. With a bit of pace and some nice through balls I scored my second goal. I thought ok he won’t make that mistake again, he kicks off and does the same thing 1-2 passing so all his players run up field leaving his defence completely exposed. Again I get the ball smash it up field score again lol. I was not playing defensive or Ultra defensive, I was actually in attacking mode because I wanted to seal the win. So 3-0 to me I’m thinking can’t do that again surely. But no again he 1-2 passes all his players up field, so I knock it up field Robben gets the ball I was dashing just on the inside of the box. I press L1 to do a stop (I love watching defenders go running miles ahead of me when I do that
) his defender goes sliding into the back of Robben. So of course I get a penalty and his defender gets a Red Card. At which point he rage quits. I was happy I won the gold cup
I then get a message from him saying that the only reason I won was because I was a pace ***** and I should learn to play the game properly. I decided to message him back (first time I have ever replied to a rage message) I told him that he was pretty good, until the second half when his only tactic was to try over swarm my half with his players using 1-2 passes leaving him with pretty much no defence. What did you expect me to do ? get the ball then hold it and wait for all your players to get back into position so I can “play the game properly” I’m not one to use counter attacks constantly. But you left your defence exposed constantly in the second half. But good game though. He then messaged me back calling me a pace ***** again and GTFO basically
