Moved over to the dark-side

Diesel was chosen due for the low down torque which is required to tow our caravan.

Surely diesel was chosen because there isn't a petrol one at that level? :p Even if you'd WANTED a 730 petrol you couldn't have one because they didn't offer one. You didn't choose it for its low down torque as none of the engines offered in the 7 Series have anything other than comedy amounts of torque suitable for towing about 6 caravans let alone one :p

I still cant beleive how epic that interior is. Just stunning!

Worst thing about my brother in laws old F10 was the colour - same as the OP's.

He's pondering an F01 or E Class estate next (odd pair to pick from imo) but neither will be white this time around.

Lovely car though OP - I can't see the interior shot either :(

The interior on the F01 is simply one of the nicest places to be. Everything is beautifully made.
I can't see the interior pictures but does it have the dark ceramic finish on the buttons and knobs?

White has been in for the past 5 years now I cant see it going anywhere soon.

Also the guy is going to take a massive hit on the car when he trades it in so if if the dealer give him 10k instead of 10.5k is he really going to be that bothered.

The figures below show the white Audi's (picked as they tend to be bought by trendies) on autotrader by year which should give an idea of the popularity of white cars.

Upto 1 year - 442,
1-2 - 247
2-3 - 298
3-4 - 288
4-5 - 78
5-7 - 28
5-10 - 4
over 10 - 22

The peak will be reached very soon and just like last time it won't be a case of being a few hundred quid less than a better coloured car, but a massive difference measured in thousands, especially so on something so large.

To Answer a couple of question I like white its a high end car and you never win at resale time and what the hell its only money.

The car was not chosen because its a BMW i had a short list of cars and the main deciding factors where:

Vehicle weight had to be over 1800kg
Vehicle nose weight (most cars came in at 75kg the BMW 100kg)
and 3.0d engine
And it could not be a dam horrible 4x4

I had no idea of other engines in the range even though after buy i had a quick look into it and found out that somthing silly around 97% of 7 series sold where 3.0d in the UK.

I originally wanted a Jaguar XF but the nose weight was only 75kg

What on earth is nose weight?

How would that possible influence your decision?

Not that an XF is a F segment car.... where you typically find the wheels are more forward in relation to the cabin.

You know... I had no idea about nose weight.

Gorgeous car, beautiful interior... I could happily sell the caravan and sleep in there :D

That inside is beautiful!

I know they are the correct size but them arches look huge for the wheels.

I cant possibly fathom why someone who is obviously well off and appreciates the finer things in life would want to holiday in that.

I spent a lot of my childhood holidays in a caravan too, so I know what its like.

Still, nice car - interior picture loading now and it is lovely inside

Inside is winning.
Outside not so much :(

I cannot get over those headlights on new BMWs!

Don't listen to the haters. I don't think white is going to go out of fashion anytime soon. Nice care mate.

Only problem is that it's not a 2 seater sports car ;)
