Diesel was chosen due for the low down torque which is required to tow our caravan.
Even if you'd WANTED a 730 petrol you couldn't have one because they didn't offer one. You didn't choose it for its low down torque as none of the engines offered in the 7 Series have anything other than comedy amounts of torque suitable for towing about 6 caravans let alone one

Also the guy is going to take a massive hit on the car when he trades it in so if if the dealer give him 10k instead of 10.5k is he really going to be that bothered.
