Nervous transaction through eBay/Paypal.

What has members market got to do with eBay? Yes bacs is popular on the members market, a different medium to eBay. I'm a business seller on eBay with 3 account with feedback totalling 5000+ between the accounts, so yes I do use eBay often

Small payments? Bacs as said is very popular. Small payments fair enough. But substantial amounts. Bacs or cc. As for me mentioning members market. You asked who uses bacs. I answered. Please dont let this turn into another of your 20 page threads where you're never wrong. Or where your view point is the one answer.

Huh

Firstly in the context of eBay, so again not sure why you brought members market into it.

Secondly (ill let you figure it out) someone starts a thread, "payed with balance transfer on eBay, never got my MacBook Pro" have a think how that thread would go down.

Like I said you would be an absolute idiot paying by bacs on eBay, and if you think it is a good idea then you would be an idiot too.

I think we've confirmed its a Scam I wont be sending the item anywhere now.

Just remains how i approach ebay to get my fees back..

Seems like you've fallen pray to a bunch of people running around screaming scam. The echeque scam posted is hilarious considering an echeque is just an online cheque and should be treated as such.

Bidding on other macs..

Coupled with all the other factors we already know. 0 feedback. joined ebay HOURS before the end if my auction. Brand new PayPal account. Using echeque..

Wait to see if the echeque clears, if it doesn't it's a simple affair of filing non paying bidder claim.

I wouldn't say anything to the buyer though. Maybe alert ebay that you think it's suspiscious, they could cancel the whole thing there and then. Would be nice if the police could got involved, if the buyer is a scammer he's clearly got access to stolen bank accounts.
