MyProtein or my personal favourite right now The Protein Works (you can get 250g free whey if you use my referal code MM354)

I'd recommend this whey: http://www.theproteinworks.com/products/protein-shakes/whey-protein/whey-protein-80-concentrate.html
and some oats: http://www.theproteinworks.com/products/powders/carbohydrates/pure-fine-oats.html

Possibly - nuts are an outrageously good way of getting calories in.

Yea, forgot about this. Small and often with nuts is how I do things.

The ones I recommended?

They ease up over time, or you just need to lift :p

The ones on bulkpowders, they only do one type so I'm presuming they're the ones you recommended.

I was expecting a better lid to be honest, the pictures different than shown for a start but nevermind :p But as you say, they should ease up, so hopefully they do, figured it would be easier with the lid but kinda wondering if I should have got the ones from MP now. Ah well!

Those tubs are horrible! I never found them to get any easier either, always stick to screw top these days.

Aye. Going by the picture on the site they look fine as it has a tab on the side, but it doesn't on the ones I received.

Wait, how can you have dinner and tea. You northern people confuse me.

As for struggling to eat lots, your body will get used to it. I'm starving half the time now a days. I don't eat massive amounts, but I think I'm on 2600ish

6ft 7. Nurse told me 16 stone should be my ideal weight? I know it doesnt say that on the BMI calc but i look hell scrawny. All dangly and stuff.:p

Im eating loads, it just isnt working. The question was meant to say im basically going to take protein anyway. Instead of a 98% should i get a high carb one?

Ta.

Well there's no ideal weight really as every person's body is different and different characteristics. I've seen 6'7" guys at 14st who don't look skinny - but then again I've seen the same @ 19st who didn't look massive either. So it's almost impossible to tell.

Clearly you feel you look scrawny, so sure, you need to eat more.

I'd work out your BMR/RMR firstly.

I don't buy the "I eat loads" - I doubt you are.

A shake will not help.

Yeah, i will re-start doing this.

Just been planning on gaining as much weight and not hitting the gym i stopped counting.

Breakfast Everyday inclu weekends - 4 eggs 2 slices of toast.

Dinner - Chicken, broccoli and white rice. - 4/5 days

Tea - Usually pasta with either pork / chicken

I know this isnt a lot, but im feeling so full. Bear in mind i used to be 18stone could eat like a king. Now im eating like a 5 year old reason im thinking about the WG.

Will start counting on Monday when im back at the gym.

Cheers.

I think I eat more than that for my breakfast.

If you feel full a shake isn't going to help that.

You need more veg (will help with clearing you out, and are vital to a good diet/health). Good fats (like oily fish, nuts, avocados etc...).

Snack more on decent quality foods - and have bigger portions if you can only manage to eat 3x a day.

You're just not eating enough. A quick back of a fag packet calculation puts your RMR (resting metabolic rate) at about 2100-2200 calories. This is just needed if you're not doing anything - just staying alive (all vital organ processes etc...), and maintaining weight, and not losing weight.

Add activity to that and your calories go into deficit, meaning you'll lose weight. Adding activity also dramatically increases the needed intake of calories. Just doing light exercise 3x a day increases your need to 3000 cals a day - to maintain weight.

So to gain weight, plus doing anything more than light exercise you'll need 3.5-4k calories a day. Bear in mind that if you eat over your base rate of calories, and are in a calorie surplus with no exercise, you will gain fat.

That's REALLY helpful!!! Thanks mate! :D

Wasn't kidding :)

If you walk round the store it might be best though because you can hand pick size. I've also got a bunch of small containers, which, whilst I use them because they're perfect for a 250g of sweet potato, you could probably use them quite well as individual whey/shake etc... storers...

They're cheap and don't do well if you drop them, but they're cheap. Who cares XD

This is very good advice. Thanks a lot!!
