The 3.97" screen on there would be the one from the original SGS right? That was pentile, but has the same picture

Pentile really isn't an issue these days IMHO, yes you do notice the effects when you look at the screen "very closely" and for the areas where it would be most apparent i.e. big white text on black etc. (well that is the only time I notice it ) It has much improved since the desire/GS/NS days! And I imagine that with the next gen of phones, SAMOLED screens, it will improve even further again.

Pentile to fit 1080 into a 5" screen with a bezel reduction and possibly a removal of the hard keys but still the same external dimensions wouldn't be a bad idea.

If it looks like the S3 i do not want, yeah it will be the most powerful smart phone ever but look like a pebble...

What would i rather have? ugly super powerful smartphone or attractive powerful smartphone. If the Xperia Z is more powerful then the S3 then i'm pretty sure i'm sold on it, I've got to a point where i don't need an 8 core CPU, browsing the web and playing games doesn't need this yet.

Sony is a 50/50 for me as I don't like LCD's that lose contrast the moment you angle the screen.

And prefer the dimesions of the ZL over the Z.

Also SAMOLED 1080p will just own all
