Ive had my h60 for over 2 years and want to change it....i was going to by the h100 but it will not fit in to my case...with all the new options out now ..intel...corsair...antec...nzxt i was wondering whats the best out there....not worried about the price or what fans come with it as have my own....any recommendations thanks.

They're all made by the same two companies mate. Asetek or Coolit.

Or something like that. Basically: they're all the same but with different visuals/stickers/marketing guff etc.

I'd boil the choice down to warranty, which has to go to Corsair, iirc you get 5 years warranty and they are pretty understandable people :)

H80i?

Thanks for the replies... i never knew that Otimalnrg... and yes ive dealt with corsair before and they were easy no hassle ....H80i says it has a usb connection....is that for software?

No point in upgrading for the small decrease in temps, your money would be better spent on new fans through out your system.

Yes, it gives you the ability to monitor temperatures and change the speed of your fans/pump.

I have good fans.....i just fancied a change and as i only have the h60 i fancied a new one with monitoring software....or getting a fan controller one or the other....

I have been running a H50 for 2 years. I fancied a change also as personally i didn't think the H50 was all that great, so I am now in the process of specing up a custom loop. If you want a chnage maybe save up a bit more and then go for broke. At least you will have fun on the way while you build it and no doubt the performance of custom v sealed will be a lot better ?

If you're overclocking a custom loop should always beat and AIO :) I agree on the fun part of the build too, but it has it's dark moments! All part of the experience really.

I am not planning to overclock....i find it ok at stock to run everything i need....so custom i would not benefit from....

if you are not planing on OCing then why bother with a sealed unit either. If your plan is to run at stock then use the retail HSF or an air based cooler that is not a 1kg lump of metal such as something from here

where they are all low profile and reasonable price point...........

He has asked for advice on which is the best AIO cooler, if he wanted custom water cooling or an air cooler im sure that would have been mentioned in his original post, i mean if he wanted to use a stock hsf he would have done that in the first place right?

I have fit an Antec 620 in to a build recently, the instructions were poor but they all go together pretty much the same so should be easy if you have already fit the corsair.

The idle temp of a 3570k was 20c and around 40c under load running at 4ghz, seemed reasonable temps and looks good in the system. There are some new revisions out now not sure what they are like.

I wasn't aware they were all made by the same 2 companies, so i'd have to agree and say go with the company that offer the best warranty service.

i dont know anyone who uses the stock heatsink and fan....ive had air coolers and yes there are good ones out there but they are big lumps....ive been using the h60 and its way quieter than any air cooler out there if you use the right fans.....plus they leave a lot space free for the air to circulate more...i think lol.....but i do a lot of video editing and play a lot of games so it does get under load most days....yeah antec gets quite good reports on its performance....thanks for the info joker

i dont agree with the h60 being quiet ..i have one sat on a AMD8150 oc only to 4.3ghz yes its at 100% 24/7 folding at home but the fan is flat out to keep it coolish i can hear in the next room!!! .... my son has a phenom x6 oc to 4ghz with a big ocz air cooler with the fan all the way down it keeps the temp approx 5c (at 100%) hotter than my h60 but you have to put your head next to the case to hear it......his air cooler has 3 times the fin area .. i bet if i put it in my rig it will keep as cool with much less noise ......and it was on offer last year at only £14 +p+p

Thats your problem you need to buy a quieter fan...makes all the difference believe me....
but the air cooler has a stock fan...it just the h60 has not got a big enough fin area when you push it..the advantage of the h60 is it will fit in cases with out much clearance and have no probs with high sticks of ram.. my sons ocz air cooler looks like a block of flats and he con only fit low ram

to answer the OP question if the h60 kept things cool them a h80 may be the thing ..i believe it has the same footprint as a h60 but with a thicker rad
