Next-Gen NVIDIA and AMD GPUs Delayed to Q4 2013

My first ever gaming machine was an atari 2600. Had loads of fun on that machine. First computer was an amiga 1200 which i believe was the first 32 bit gaming machine released to the market. Was a bit of a disappointment though as not many games were released that used its power.

I find it hard to believe that amd will release there 8 series so late as its supposedly ready to ship at this moment. I don't mean the rebadged 7970's before anyone thinks thats what i mean.

Now gaming is much more mainstream, we do it because we always have, though Im glad games have moved on from the old days, the hobbit used to drive me nuts.

Its that generation, our generation who made computing and gaming what it is today, its systems like Acorn, Sinclair Spectrum... which drove the innovation, developed the minds of our generation to push the boundaries and set new ones, simply because they were so programmable.
Some of those 1980's kids sitting in front of the TV with that plastic brick learning how to write operating systems, program it to do things even their creators never thought of are the very same kids who now create all of those things kids of today marvel at.

Still in of the best consoles was the gameboy colour! People my age will remember it was so much fun! l

45 here, the old ZX81 was the machine to have, touch the keyboard slightly too hard and ram pack wobble, crash, start all over again.

Why am I not surprised that humbug was an Amiga boy.......Atari forever.:p

It must be why we disagree so much..lol

Anyway on topic, well if they are going to delay the next series of cards then maybe just maybe the 670's will come down in price enough to allow me to upgrade from my 470. (yeah right as if that is going to happen :( )
