Hi Guys

About to go live, we have an excellent new range of higher performance TP-Link products.

Price points for these products are a little higher than our current TP-Link range but after some testing of a large range of samples, TP-Link have really set these products aside as being higher end offerings.

Performance, interfaces and aesthetics have all been subjected to an overhaul here.

Hi there

These look rather up market, TP link aiming for a bit more of the higher end of the market?

Love the plug straight in extender. Had a client recently who was annoyed at having to have another big box in the house, these will be perfect :)

definitely, they have all areas of the market covered now.

The AC passthrough plugs looks excellent.

they are

the 200mbps kit is brilliant and easily the most popular networking sku we run with, but this is not only an evolution but passthrough makes it an even more attractive prospect.

my brother actually has one of these which is what prompted me to buy it in.

very nice bit of kit and useful too

Do the UK Homeplugs have the plug at the bottom of the unit or at the top, like the EU plug? My plugs are too close to the floor/skirting board otherwise :(

At the top, Kelt.

I've got the 200Mbps ones (along with a regular TP-Link 200Mbps one), they've been flawless so far.

Thanks. Don't know why most of these seem to be designed this way. Oh well, on with the cat5 cabling plan!

Does anybody know if the powerline adapters work with BT Infinity?

I heard a rumour that BT have somehow stopped them from being used.

naw they still supply them with YouView boxes and BT Vision boxes. Only way they let you have Sky Sports now is if you are on BT Infinity, so if you order BT Vision (YouView cant accomodate Sky Sports yet - bad foopah) and Sky Sports, you have to be on BT Infinity then you also get the option to have the free powerline adaptors.

In any case powerline adaptors are nothing to do with whether BT Infinity works or not. They are just used for the network in your house doesnt matter what you use after the modem. You can use the HH3, or just about any router so I can't see them coming up with a way of stopping powerline adaptors from working.

Yep, as far as the router is concerned, the powerline adapter is just a network cable; it's the device that it's connected to at the other end that it'll identify, nothing more.

I take it they are like photo and not uk plugs?
I need a range extender, that one looks nice and simple, apart from the plug situation.

oh, well apparently i didnt check all the images. the others say they are a uk plug so i assume this one would be too.

It'd be rather silly for a UK company to be selling products without a UK plug on them, no?

Off course, but it doesn't explicitly say uk plug, why use wrong pictures.
Wouldn't be the first time a company used cheap eu products and put an adapter in. I'm sure could dont do this, it's mainly a complaint about the pictures used and lack of clarification.

It's just lazy using wrong pictures and despite the for illustration purposes only warning, most people shop with their eyes first, a picture is worth a thousand words after all.
