Obscure cars that are kinda cool

These?

There's an ancient one that does the rounds near me. (Gibraltar is historically Honda mad for some reason.) It's in perfect nick, and I must admit to liking it hugely.

I had one of these in New Zealand (not for long) fully independent double wishbone suspension front and rear AND pop up headlights!

I used to have one of these! Fantastic car when it wasn't breaking. The active suspension on it was unreal.

Me and the guy I bought it off did 50mph inside an empty Eurostar train about 10 years before Clarkson tried it on Top Gear. :o

A bit more mainstream but definitely quirky. One of our cars, Pug 4007 - I've posted these previously. Not that many of them about and us owners don't shout about them too much as they are well kept secrets.

99.9% of folk will think it is an horribly ugly bus. It's very much a "Marmite" car, I love it's looks, it drives superbly and it's fairly rare on the roads ( maybe because potential buyers think it looks minging??!! :p )

Obscure - So faintly perceptible as to lack clear delineation; indistinct.

Strikes me that most people in this thread miss the definition entirely.....

Still, some nice (and not!) motors posted! :p:)

I must confess my father and I owned one of these each at the same time. Mine was a bit of a wreck but his was nice and more importantly the Volumex (supercharged).

Lancia Beta HPE (High Performance Estate).

Then my favourite car I owned to date I think.

Alas mine wasn't in as good condition.

I imagine most people on this forum saw one in their rear view mirror at some point. :p
Ive ridden in one down the A470 at about 120 round the corners, it was very smooth. They mod the suspension a fair bit I think, not sure what could well replace a T5 and all they do with it. Also got a tow off one once from a friendly copper, iffy rubber seals on my petrol pump but got it going at 2am in 5 mins, they keep a lot of gear in that boot

always liked the Austin A35
AUSTIN-HEALEY Sprite another neat little car :)

Opel Manta GT/E, saw one of these the other day and seem to remember they were fairly uncommon back in the day (compared to Capris and such).

Just looked on wikipedia though and only 110bhp - thought they were a bit more powerful than that
