Alienware m18x or m17x r4?

I hope not! What Dell may do is say they made a mistake, tell the buyers (or make that eBay) the correct price and give 10% discount for the error which was made. Either way, I'm raging I still can't get one :-(
 
Decided to make a bit of an alienware desktop, quite unique and fitting I felt...



different and looks better when you use it, it flashes and does all sorts of alien stuff... this is what happens when you are bored.. lol
 
Holy christ! Looks cool!

I feel boring with my black background, 1 folder on the top left of the desktop for work stuff. And that's it! :p
 
I am trying to be minimalistic as well - always worked 4 me.
Back to the AW - plenty of them Today ...but the good once gone in 3-5 sec (managed to press add to basket and after a while internal error...again)
Just thinking now - any one knows if they have plans for R5 revision? :D
Never followed this but every R* comes when lintel releases new CPU's ?
Found that wont need laptop for another year or so and just wondering :)

Using the link provided on a previous page, I was manically refreshing the page hoping to see an R4 in there from 14:14-14:17. But nothing appeared at all?

I'm not looking to buy one, just wanted to see how quickly they go, unless that was an indicator!
 
Really sorry. I've all but given up getting the laptop i want off there.

That's the 1st 17R4 I've managed to add in months.

Hate the resellers who buy them, but it's so easily fixed by Dell, sadly they don't care as its still revenue for them, who ever buys it.

Also, is it just me or are the captcha's for Alienware's very difficult? Mine are always 10+ characters made of numbers and letters, yet bagging any other computer is often only 4,5,6 characters. Grrrrrrrrr!! Maybe Dell just don't like me, lol.

Well I am about ready to give up, might go the clevo route too, you can often get some good deals making them a similar price to outlet
 
Yeah, I actually nearly bought a new one at the same time Moogleys did. He got an absolute bargain. I nearly bought one that afternoon, had it in my basket and everything. Now I'm wishing I proceeded. I had it with standard parts except for 7970M, Blu-Ray, Killer Wi-Fi and FHD screen, along with the glitched 3-year warranty for £1300 after codes + another 5% cashback. Kicking myself now, lol!

I'd also like to know if there will be an R5 released this year. Does anyone know?
