Crappy pictures, but they're still pictures. :p

Haha, I knew I'd get the comments about the handlebar and stem, but they are indeed right.. Which is why I need a new stem and handlebar.

So far it rides fine, I've only had a short blast through a local wood, other than my commute to work, so its not gone through anything too taxing yet. I'm not used to getting up hills so quickly! :D

Cas, just one thing to consider - this is a XC Hartail, nothing else and not meant to be made "agressive".

You mentioned you want a dropper post, which really is not what you want on this bike. Putting a short stem and wider bars is also counter productive - IMO of course.

The stem has to change (for my comfort at least) as I'm really stretching over the bike, but with the handlebars the width isn't the problem, I've just spent over 6 months using flat bars, and I find everything else really uncomfortable now, they are the only issues I've got with it really. The dropper was just an idea, but I'd probably rather put that money aside to build myself an AM bike anyway.

I know I can't go crazy on this, but that's probably a good thing anyway, as my fitness/fatness is probably my biggest problem ATM, so it will do me good to get out and do the miles. Can you see the bike having any problems with Glentress red? I can't myself, but I can't remember much of it.

It'll be absolutely fine around Glentress red, you could probably get around on a rigid bike and still have plenty of fun :) I can't promise no comments about clown wheels and spandex though..

I'm buying Robs stem off him, then I'll give it a few rides after that to figure out if its sorted it, I won't rush into buying handlebars, as I'm bloody skint. :D

I was at Woburn again 2 weeks ago, and saw one of the local lads send this jump.
Can't tell you how scary this one is as it's entirely and utterly blind.

That chute is also really steep / narrow ...and the kid landed it past that tree, entirely flat!
