I have three of these drives and 2 of them have low 4k-64thrd speed

Read is 135MB/s and write is 110MB/s

the drive that is working correctly runs @ 298MB/s and 189MB/s

I have tried different controllers (marvell and Intel)

I have done a complete secure erase and nothing seems to fix the issue.

what firmware are you running? all the same across the three drives?

I've tried all the firmwares, first thing I did and thought it would solve it, but hasn't made any difference.

I don't think the drives are faulty, I think there is a software or compatibility issue.

I know there was an issue with one fw version causing slower speeds but was fixed,I've only used 000f myself,

Try with atto and post results, could try 4k aligning the drives, secure erase and quick format to 4096mb

Here's one off mine, I'm afraid that I'm completely unfamiliar with atto, I've always used AS SSD

Mobo Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
CPU i5 @ 4.4
Ram 4Gg
Win 7 64bit

Edit I'm using the lastest Crucial F/W 040h I think

you need to look at the 4.0 figures, those don't look to bad, what does as ssd say?

ohh and are you using the latest intel rst drivers? those will help improve speeds slightly

you know when you secure erased? you didn't do a long format did you? just a quick format and then restore your image or re-install windows

I keep a spare hdd handy for this,i clone the ssd to it/secure erase the ssd and clone back

I'm afraid I'm not 100% sure, I just did whatever Win7 does on a clean install

its probably a quick format which is ok,you don't really wanna mess with it too much regarding secure erases

have you tested on older fw? just to see if its a bug,one fw released for my corsair gt didnt support trim

try with other sata cables aswell,to rule those out

Yes I've tried a number of them however TBH I've had little choice but to down load the F/W from Softpedia (I think) there appeared to be no difference, & I didn't feel completely happy with using a F/W from Softpedia therefore I went back to the latest one from Crucial.

Ohh there is a way to check if TRIM is supported, I'll find it out & post back, because I'll be damned if I can remember what it is right off the top of my head..

It comes to us all, it's called age :D

To check TRIM is operational in Win 7

CMD R / click (run as admin)

fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

If the result is '0' TRIM is enabled.

If 1 is the result TRIM is not enabled

Thanks, where will I find ssd life?

I might find SSD Life easier to remember than

fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

EDIT

PS Mines Defo enabled

Thanks for that, it's easier than trying to remember
fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify even though it takes up more drive space. :)

Mines Defo enabled, although the Bootime hasn't increased that I'm aware (11 to 13 seconds) Mearsured with Boot Racer

The AS SSD speed test results indicate a very different story :(
