Show us your kitty cats

Out of interest, how do your 2 cats compare in terms of personality and temperment?
Are they both as active as each other?

The Bengal is probably going to be more active as you don't really get lazy Bengals. It's up to the personalities of other domesticated cats whether they're lazy or active as they're not as close to a wild animal.

She just learned that bringing you live things = treats.
But but but, she was so excited, and the worm was starting to make a mess on my bathroom floor - she left me no choice! :D

Next thing will be a live mouse. My friend has had that problem =D

As long as its dead enough that I can get it and remove it, I won't mind. Something still running about, I'm not sure I can cope - ask me when it happens :p

Three new rescue kittehs. Cute wee beggars too. All about 700g - they hang around till they get to 1kg then they go to the vet to get fixed.

So many lovely pics of cats, my ball of fur doesn't stay still long enough to get a pic of her, unless she is having a lie down after charging round the house like a lunatic.

But do have this video of her when she got herself half in and out of a box pretty funny, sorry the vid is a bit dark.

They are both pretty awesome to be fair.

Tigerlilly our Toyger is by far the most mischievous and inquisitive. Orion on the other hand is a heavy lump (currently weighing 1 stone at the age of 1 year) of muscle.

I will say however he does spend a lot more time on his own sleeping than our Toyger. Hes definately not the stereotype Bengal that is forever running around like an idiot (Our Toyger is!) but when they both get into the mood of chasing eachother we do have to be careful of things they can knock over.

Plenty a cup of tea/coffee has ended on the floor due to them both and our house plants are slowly becoming extinct.

Of the two breeds with my experience id definately say the Toygers are better. That said a Bengal is also a very good option although Orion does howl like a wolf at times which while it can be amusing, can be irritating for people who don't like loud animals (personally I love it and howl back!).

Great cats the pair of them but if you cant afford the £800-£1000 for a Toyger id suggest sticking with a Bengal. We bought Orion for just under £500 which is a bargain compared with Tigerlilly.

Its worth noting that Toygers are still a young breed and they are still developing their looks and whatnot so Tigerlilly isn't a finished product per se. The males tend to come out orange looking too so if you want the tiger look then you'l need a male. Brilliant personalities though. Currently Tigerlilly likes to use me as her own personal transport to get around while she relaxes on my shoulders.

Are you going to have fun or what?

Abby, our youngest, started off with butterflies. She then progressed to bigger, more lively (well, not by the time she brings them home) things. Her speciality are voles. As our house backs onto fields we have had, voles, shrews, field mice, assorted birds and a rabbit!! How the hell she got that home i don't know because she is only a wee little thing. I have been running around the house after terrified birds, voles and shrews trying to catch them with a pair of manic cats charging around too. Birds are ok because if you open a window they usually fly out in the end. Voles and shrews are fast little buggers though and i have had them running up my arms and legs!! Yes you will be having such fun now you have opened the floodgates by giving her treats!! :D:D:D

Figured it was time to upload some new pics, these are 2 sisters which we adopted from the local cat rescue charity, back in December. The ginger one we've named Pickles, and the darker coloured cat Brynn.

Very much hard work, and expensive! But definitely worth the effort. Brynn, has suspected epilepsy. So, she's had several vet visits and is now just starting medication. Although it's a worry, we're doing our best to give her the best quality of life.
Pickles is very much like her name, and often in trouble. We regularly find her eating things she shouldn't, so keeping the kitchen tidy has been essential. We've caught her eating the following; toothpaste, cooking fat, shampoo, tissues, butter......you name it! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Got another straw video for you Voltar, will post it tomorrow :)

It's the kind of behaviour cats will do in the wild if they have something caught between their claws or on their paws. These behaviours are ingrained, and some cats do them when they don't really need to - just some habit they have learned, and repeat. It's usually nothing to be worried about.

At first I would have said it looks very like when they spray or scent mark, but looking at it again I think you're right its simply that he's got something on/in his toes/claws.
