Quick question folks!

My Google fu failed me on this one, I'm wanting to transfer a folder that is 223gb in size from a 500Gb drive to a 1Tb drive.

Now would it be quicker/healthier for the HDD's doing lots of little batch transfers, or doing it all in one chunk and leaving it to do its thing?

Sorry if this has been asked a bunch of times, I did use the search option at the top :p

just copy/paste the whole thing over to your new drive or drag/drop it over

shouldn't hurt the hdd at all

Thought I'd just add to this thread instead of starting another

Is it possible to get Teracopy to verify each file after completion, instead of at the end of the entire process?

i.e. copy, verify, copy, verify, copy, verify instead of copy, copy, copy, verify, verify, verify

Thanks

Email the makers of it to suggest that feature.

...

Op, If you know your data is clean, disabling your av will speed up the transfer
