So what you are saying is that bad behaviour can be tolerated as long as its so minor that it doesn't breech the parents "I can't be bothered to deal with this" threshold? I guess as I'm not a parent, I wasn't aware of that.

Explains why we have all these kids running around who have no respect or consideration for others.

Try Recuva
Failing that, use Photorec, it's the king at doing this.

Recuva should be fine though.

Remember, don't restore them to the card, restore them to your PC.

Obviously once it's all recovered, you can copy them back to the card.

Testdisk and Photorec (both by CGSecurity) are the best for this sort of thing.

Doesn't need to be. By your logic then OP hasn't tried anything, since no products were explicitly stated by name. It was mentioned before OP updated the thread and therefore can be assumed that it's been tried.
