All of the top 6 clubs will give up the League Cup (maybe even FA Cup) if it meant qualifying for the CL.

Even if you strip Liverpool of all their League cups, they still won 33 trophies, 5 of which are European Cups and 18 League titles.
I don't like Liverpool but facts are facts, you can't take the stats away from them.
