Geforce Titan rumours.

We should all remember that this card is BRAND NEW and drivers are not yet optimized for it in these games. I'm sure better drivers will surface in the coming weeks and performance will start increasing significantly. Happens with all new generation cards.

I'm wondering if this will be another 'Bulldozer' type scenario.

Massively over estimated/speculated in terms of speed and performance.

Will be interesting to find out later today :)

This convinces me even further to wait until prices are more sensible.

Two or three months down the line I assume prices will be better and drivers will be matured, so better value for money IMO. Not to mention my wife gave me the look of death when I mentioned paying so much for a GPU. You know what women are like, always concerned over silly things like food, water, electricity etc.

Still debating getting one of these for 1080p 120hz. Need them benchmarks!

It's always had to be primarily a hi res card :(

Anyone see this..
"Now read this very carefully, the board partners like MSI, EVGA and others get to decide whether or not you may unlock Voltage control. Inside the NVIDIA driver you can opt to unlock Voltage by agreeing to an EULA. That EULA will try to make you understand that applying higher voltages will decrease the lifespan of the product. So if the GeForce GTX Titan has been built for a theoretical 5 years productivity at 1.162 mV then tweaking the Voltage towards 1.250 mV could (in theory) halve that lifespan. Now here's the good news; unlocking the Voltage will not result in losing your warranty, let me be very clear about that. However, if you have a 2 year warranty and after 3 years the card dies as a result of voltage tweaking and thus the reduced lifespan... that would be the consequence and at your risk."

Drivers weren't even finished on Tuesday according to Guru3d.... Can't see a lot of work being put into drivers for this limited run card either. 7970 on the other hand may still get another performance boost when 13.3 or whatever it will be finally called gets released.

Titan is about 5-10fps faster than a stock 7970 ghz edition card it seems from watching the linus video.

for more than double the cost lol

I also got the look of death today, AND even then that was based on a "errrrr they're about £700" comment :D

This does not look good, awaiting 5760 x 1080 results b4 deciding.

If results aren't good then Tri - Quad Fire beckons

I think the 5760 x 1080 results will be much better but even there 2 Titans are going to be struggling to beat 3 HD 7970s (3gb vram is plenty for most things @that resolution).

I don't think I will be getting any, I use 1600p and even with 3 Titans it would not be any better than what I have got now.

The only problem is this isn't a new generation card. It's still Kepler, just more of everything. Any improvements made for this card will also apply to the 680 and 690.

Lol that's what i always do. Knock a bit off the price to ease early concern and then deal with the fall out once they check the bank statement. :D

Does OCuk list the number of orders THEY placed for a pre-order? In case you pre-order 2 and then on launch day you get "Ohh there was no more left / Only 1 left"

I hate to think what the drivers will be like for 3 or 4 way sli with the Titan as you point out its a limited run card.
