Nope, that with VAT.
Wow. Need to chnage my pre order then.

Gibbo won't wait for an item to run out of stock before buying more. He is setting prices based on the latest buy price, stock availability and demand. Gibbo is the most proactive guy that I've ever met in this industry and that's the reason that he gets all the good deals.

nope that'll be because they are no longer being made and there is no more stock anywhere.(also 8 pack wants them all for himself which doesn't help
)
Scottie your msi 7970 oc is the greatest card ever. I promote it any chance i get and i even have a skirt wearing assistant in PGI who also helps me promote it. (sadly he's male and Scottish)
Any chance of getting a job as a sales rep?![]()
I've convinced many ocuk'ers to buy it, some of them even bought it just to shut me up.![]()
Even taking into account the $ change, its not proportional.
Whatever the case, the GTX680/GTX670 are well overpriced compared to the 7970/7950. Very frustrating as i prefer nvidia due to my personal opinion about drivers, but the prices are ridiculous. A slower product at a significantly higher price without any decent games. Just crazy. Need people to stop buying so nvidia can get realistic.
I would happily buy a gtx680 over a 7970 if it was the same price even though i would be getting the slower card. I would trade off the lesser performance for (IMO) better drivers. But right now theres only really one choice of card.
I bet you AMD's (%) margin on the 7950 and 7970 are higher than NVIDIA's on the 670 and 680, even despite the considerably higher price and 'free' games. ......snip......This will only change when (if) NVIDIA actually manage to design another chip (or chip family) that has competitive yields.
Its all George Osbourne's fault...
Vote with your wallets though as Nvidia/AMD overcharge for thier cards anyways imo.If people stop buying they will have to get real.
Everyone is skint due to the recession yet nvidia still have great profits and wont drop prices. It just smells of corporate greed and i wont be buying anything until they get real.
Not to mention your new £399 card is worth half its value in 13 months or so.How can that be right? It just shows how much profit they make on each card.
Economics not your strong point, I see ...
Economics and George Osbourne in the same post(yes I know, in a quote but it's still hilarious to see them together).
My point wasn't that You or I, in the UK, could have it cheaper by looking abroad....
Nah, he didn't cause the recession, he's just struggling to fix itIts all George Osbourne's fault...
You obviously have no grasp of the true cost of each GPU. The development of the new GPU's includes new technology research, new manufacturing processes, extensive prototyping and testing and that's before they go to manufacturer with the new process and have a 70% failure rate. Even then you have to add in the cost of RMA, marketing & those game bundles that we are so fond of.Vote with your wallets though as Nvidia/AMD overcharge for thier cards anyways imo. If people stop buying they will have to get real.
it's not, but each to their own I suppose. If you want the latest & greatest you have to pay for it, otherwise you can buy old stock/used (just like cars really)It just smells of corporate greed and i wont be buying anything until they get real.
I revisit my point about cars and add in mobile phones for added benefitNot to mention your new £399 card is worth half its value in 13 months or so. How can that be right?
