Best tablet on the market?

Also confused about what this guy is smoking:

Aspect ratio combined with xbox movies.
Android is the worst for media purchases.
iTunes has great media purchases but you losse most of the screen due to aspect ratio when watching films.

Be even nicer if it had 3G/4g, NFC, higher res screen and a s4pro.

Who makes media purchases on these things? oO

Android tabs are very very good for media consumption.

A much bigger range. But then movies on android is pretty darn new compared to the others.
Apple is the best because of all their other stuff, like education lextures, text books etc and have the biggest range.
However windows/xbox IMO will have a massive advantage latter this year, when they start producing apps for iOS/android. Office and xbox music confirmed and it looks extremely likely for xbox movies to follow. As personally that's my biggest issue ATM. They are all tied to one platform mostly. Ok you can install iTunes on pc but not WP or WRT, google you can play on some other platforms via a browser but can't save the file, so need 3G/wifi.

Which is why I don't feel many people actually buy movies on these platforms, I think you feel more people purchase then actually do.

Looking at both google movies and xbox movies the library looks pretty comparable tbh. Neither looks like they are really that great... so I'm not sure where you are getting the much bigger range from.

What makes you think people don't buy media on these things?

Certainly not at the revenue streams.

Since iPhones and then iPads. People have become used to buying apps and media. Even if its locked. You have no choice. Unless you rip which most don't or you download illegally, which again lots of people won't do, although loads do as well.

Really depends how you plan to get the media, if it is things already downloaded then I would say look at getting at Nexus 10, really has the best screen for watching anything AMOLEDS over LCD any day for watching movies and such, very good SoC, 2gb ram and is quiet cheap only cost £389 for 32gb which should be good for most people. If your friends wife is already in a certain ecosystem where they have content I would suggest sticking with that. iPad is also a great option, I couldn't really recommend a W8 RT tablet without them trying it out first, it really only appeals to certain people and most dislike it right away from what I have seen, if they do enjoy it then its a good option.

iPad is still top dog imo. Nothing has tempted me away from it (and I've still just got an iPad 2). I did buy a Nexus 7 when they launched and it just felt cheap in comparison. I suspect the Nexus 10 compares more favourably though.

N10 feels a lot better than the N7 and of course the screen is better.

But backlight bleed problems ftl

Completely the opposite for me :D

I bought an Asus TF300 to try the "Android Tablet experience" and found it so much easier to live with than my iPad.

I ended up giving the iPad to my wife (who now uses it to play words with friends )
