I found a Shaker with some remains of a Protein shake in it last week. It had been in my bag for about 2 weeks prior.

The smell nearly made me spew. Ive washed it and had it sat in boiling water. But I think its a goner :(

How in hell can something be soooo smelly lol.

Do they glass shakers? Id imagine they would clean up a treat. Kinda like a thermos thing.
 
Hard to say at this stage.

Even though I'm only claiming "Science Level: Bro" on the glutamine, it's an impression gained over years of taking it. Compared to <5 days for pre bed OAKG, I'm not so confident. At this point I can't say either way, but I'll try again tonight. I've done it some of last week and all this week and recovery has been fine, which is all the data I have :p

I did "like" using it PreWO though.

I have never tried glutamine so can't comment on that aspect of it. If it works in the same way/whatever, then it's all good (and cheaper! :) ).

I'd be interested to see what difference it made pre-WO, however. If the article LiE linked is correct, it may stimulate a 6.6% increase in gainz in vivo. I could clean 117kg just by taking a supp? Or just not get pwn3d by the bar the rest of the time during a normal working...? Awesome. :D

I'd happily accept 5% over baseline. The fact that they only noticed it on bench was interesting, or possibly not...

I'd like to test this properly, but I'd also like it to be cheaper :(

Indeed. Chong mentioned something similar with his explanation a couple of pages back.

I suspect it's probably because the noobs couldn't squat properly. ;)
 
As I said it is actively used in hospitals to help burns victims generate tissue after trauma - so it's legitimate for tissue repair. How it is administered for this to happen is obviously dependent on the quality and how your body takes to it. I had positive results when I took it 5-6years ago, but I took it every day.

I did have a go in the bast at carb backloading - although I only did the 10 day no carb bit which indeed dropped me quite a bit of fat.

What I didn't like however - was the "low carb limp".

If you only did the low carb portion no wonder you felt flagging! You will definitely feel it doing that part and not moving on to the back loading. The prep phase really is about realigning your bodys response to foods, and low carb portions of the day.

If your actively training as well you dont need to do 10 days, the point is to go Keto and then stick it out for another day or two and then your ready to start back loading.

The pre-workout off the top of my head is a shake with some whey, MCT, and caffine in, easiest way to do this is strong coffee with MCT and 10g whey protein in. As i train in the morning i dont even get to have this!! just coffee for me. Your low carb portion of the day is not low food, its just low carb, decent amount of fats and you can easily be eating 1500+ cals before you even work out. The pre workout is just a nice energy booster with the MCT's and Caffeine.



I have been using glutamine for about 3-4 weeks now and at first i would have said it definitely was helping with recovery, currently I am not so sure. However i am happy that its other effects are lower gut improvements i am happy to supp it just for the possible posative side effects there.

I think 7g post w/o and 7g pre bed wouldnt be enough in 1 hit of the OAKG, damn i could really do with a specific study on OAKG use on am traininer's using 13-15g post workout and the same again pre-bed! Would be interesting to see how the PWO effects would interact with the supposed double release of growth hormone after morning training anyway. In for a whole world of gains!


Also Mythingyx is your fast a full on no food at all for 19 days fast, or can you eat after dusk/before dawn?
 
Between dawn and dusk, so not really any different to some people's IF approach.

The problem is that I like my food. :D

And 30g/day of OAKG? Might try that when I get off my fast...
 
lol 30g a day was my idea haha. I need to see what impacts it has on the low carb portion of the day, as OAKG spikes insulin, but i might get away with it PWO.

Deception, we are talking about both, but talking about dosage is OAKG only.


Just add water to the pouch when it arrives. Gainz ahoy.
