Crysis 3 performance

I can't no. I posted the settings which is playable before.

I saw the settings but its seems strange as I play in 1440p with almost the same settings and its fine...

effects- Very
object- high
perticales- very
post process- high
shading- high
shadows- medium
water- very

What is the GPU usage? Turn Vsync off too

My GPU usage is constant 99% with CPU cores all around 70% normally. hmmm, if i get similar performance with a single 670 in 1440p then I think ill save myself £200 and go on a long weekend instead :)

Try turning shadows down from Very High to High. I run everything ultra @ 1080p, SMAAx1 and I generally hit 100-120fps. Words can't describe my love for this game. HOOKED.

Here it is giving my machine a kicking. Shots taken from the start of the levels - game settings, fps, core use and temps shown (i5@4ghz, 8gb, gtx 670)

7970, but it'll be higher now. I reset to defaults in CCC and everything is running faster (as you'll see from the Valley thread :D).

Right at the start of the game @1080p/Vhigh/SMAAx1 I'm now seeing 44fps, up from 38fps before. @1440p/Vhigh/noAA it's up from 28fps to 31fps. Not to be sniffed at.

I think I'll be resetting CCC defaults every time I know RadeonPro has changed settings from detecting a game being launched.

How did you overall reset CCC?

first time i have really had a really decent gaming pc

not sure if i should overclock Sapphire HD 7970 VAPOR-X GHZ Edition right away what do you think

wow this actually runs ok for me, I expected it to be a slideshow, much better performance than when the original Crysis came out, that killed the 8800gtx at the time.

I'm running it with all settings v.high apart from shadows and motion blur @ med, 16x anisotropic filtering and FXAA, using a 360 controller it feels very playable using the rig in my sig @ 1920x1200, I don;t really want to check the frame rate as it feels good atm otherwise that will distract me if its lower than what it feels.

I've moved my PC home and installed and updated crysis 3, as soon as my second gtx 470 is recognised I'll give it run and report my fps.

Hoping I can run high settings

I had to download NVIDIA GeForce Experience to find out what settings would work for me

This is what the program advised to use. I disabled Motion blur though as I hate it for FPS.

Too bad my monitor doesn't do 60hz refresh rate as I could have set it to that and upped some eye candy with Vsync.

The game is now atleast playable. I have 670 sli 1280/1880, 3570 at 4.6. Near the start of the game just before you're handed the bow if you look at the area through the window the frames drop down to 20fps If I use the better AA methods. However apart from that bit and going out into rain environments the game played fine maxed out.

Also this is a good site to read to see the comparisons between all the AA settings and benches.
http://gamegpu.ru/action-/-fps-/-tps/crysis-3-test-gpu.html

I just recreated those settings with vsync off and right at the start of the game get 64fps.

I can only assume you only like gaming at very high fps or there is an issue with your machine. If a single 670 can do ~65 then I would have thought SLI could do in the region of 100
