What sort of settings should I be running this on:

i7-2600k
GTX670
SSD
16GB RAM

as post above - (i have an i5@4ghz, 8gb, gt6570)

From what I have read and experienced on my machine regarding performance generally - If you have a half decent CPU, i5, i7 or newer at about 3.5ghz + and at least a 7950 or GTX 670 then you can play with good FPS with all very high 1080p and one of the smaller AA options

1440p / 1600p requires to drop a few settings, such as object detail and shadows to achieve the same fps. (or of course get another graphics card and SLI / Crossfire)

These settings will get you 45fps+ with 60/70 most of the time. Multiplayer will 60 fps+ mostly

That performance is way off, i have a i7 930 clocked at 4ghz and a 7970 lightning with 1150 core and memory 1650mhz and all very high and 2x smaa and i get an average of anywere between 40-60 fps with occasional dip to high 30's.

You need to get that cpu and gpu clocked up you are loosing loads of performance as it is at the moment. Also i use dynamic vsync in radeon pro on this and it is smooth with no tearing.

Wow really? Everything on very high?

Looks like I'm overclocking my CPU when I get home!

Yes just checked, now thats everything at very high apart from shadows at high which doesent look any different to very high to me thats at 1200p resolution aswell, what res you running?

Frames dony reduce much either when switch to very high all, and still with 2x smaa maybe 35-55 which is still a lot higher than what your getting.

Just running at 1080P.

Looks like i'll have to OC my CPU. + possibly a slight OC on the GPU ( voltage locked so might not get as high are yours)

Running mostly multiplayer at 1080p with Ultra Textures, everything else high except Shadows, 2xSMAA. On a FX8150, 16GB Ram and a Gigabyte 7970 OC Windforce 3 im getting lows of 50fps highs of 80fps.

^ Yep, cpu@4ghz and gpu something like a 670/680/7950/7970 and you can expect more than playable in very high at 1080p. (1080p on 1440p monitor looks nasty though, so downing a few settings yields the same results as 1080 very high)

Yeah i had to bump voltage a little to get my clocks stable on the gpu. That cpu at stock 2.8ghz is really holding ure gpu back. And the whole system in general when gaming.

@2.8 it certainly will. my i5 has been running stable at 400x10 for at least a couple of years (and only on an arctic freezer HSF) It did take a bit of tweaking of memory and volts etc but fully stable in Intel Burn test etc now

Dont see the point in playing this in anything other than what this game is about. Max settings is what crysis series is about, its basically a playable fun benchmark. I cant play the game as intended so will either have to wait for a miracle patch/driver update or a new cpu and graphics card update.

You cant play it in very high on 670 SLI?

I was thinking that same but look at the res in his sig.

That should do fine. I have a single 670, i5@4ghz, 8gb ram and starting the game in very high I get 29fps. I would have thought another 670 would at least delivery 45fps if not more.

With a few settings turned down I get 46fps which for most of the game I get 50-60 and multiplayer generally 60+

I ran crysis 3 with my GTX 580 SLI setup with all high settings plus a few set to very high at 1440p

So surely your GTX 670 SLI setup can ran crysis 3 with everything set to very high at 1440p

@Wolvers, your 35 FPS vs my 30 FPS, what GPU is that?

7970, but it'll be higher now. I reset to defaults in CCC and everything is running faster (as you'll see from the Valley thread :D).

Right at the start of the game @1080p/Vhigh/SMAAx1 I'm now seeing 44fps, up from 38fps before. @1440p/Vhigh/noAA it's up from 28fps to 31fps. Not to be sniffed at.

I think I'll be resetting CCC defaults every time I know RadeonPro has changed settings from detecting a game being launched.

1440p performance is not good on any card at the moment, we need to see driver tweaks and engine patches imo.

1080p performance in 7970/670/680 SLI is fine if you run at 1200/1750. Titan looks good at 1080p, chokes at 1440p just like the others.
