New Headset - Considering Sennheisers

No question about it.

Hmm the 360's aren't in the overclockers store at the moment, I wanted to buy them from here. Anyone have any idea if they will be in stock soon?

Wouldnt be better getting the 363D's and a sound card would'nt be better would it? I'm guessing that's just overkill.

Lol. Great sound card if you buy headphones that make it worthwhile. Beyerdynamic DT770 or 990 + Antlion Modmic, would make a great combination. :D

I'm hovering over the "order" button for Sennheiser 558s. I can't justify spending much more than that and after a lot of reading, they seem to be well received for gaming. I won't be listening to too much music on them but when I do, it'll be rock/classical.

How do the 558s compare to the Beyers? I like the idea of an open design tbh.

I very much doubt they will get any back in at all. Any places that do have stock still are selling what they have left, or stock they have managed to secure. The jungle river website is a far bigger company than OcUK (no offence intended), so it stands to reason larger companies will have more chance of securing any remaining stock before the PC360 disappears altogether.

Happy to be proven of course if OcUK can secure any more remaining stock. :)

You could get the PC363D and a sound card, but in my opinion that is just throwing money around for the heck of it. I would either get the PC363D and forget about a sound card and just use the USB device, or buy the PC360 with the intention of buying a good sound card.

770 are close headphones, the 990 are open. 558/598 are very good for gaming, but so are the Beyer's. The Senn's are all rounders really and have a more laid back sound. Beyer's are more bassy and have a more in your face kind of sound. Some people can find the high frequencies fatiguing. Something you certainly won't get with the Senn's.
