Hmm, I had a delivery of Hurricane XS for weight lifting and a box of ENER:GEL for running from My Protein so I'll be starting on the Hurricane XS this Friday as a post work out supplement and on the ENER:GEL when my almighty great blister heals (I have athletic tape on order for that)

How much do you weigh in kilos?

Multiply that by 0.17. I'm still not convinced it does much as a pre-workout, but I'll be in a fairer place to judge when my chuffing diet and sleep workout.

From reading through some old logs I have noted a few times that the effects take around 4-7 days to kick in and seem to taper off after around 4 weeks. Which sounds about right from memory, it's a while since I last tried it. Worth bearing in mind and planning a 4 weeks ON, 4 weeks OFF cycle. It's quite an expensive supplement so you want value for money?

Anyone used DAA (d-aspartic acid) i have just had my monthly supply from my sponsor and they have thrown in a tub of the following; not sure if i should avoid at the moment due to comp diet in being in full swing.
 
To be honest that's probably just a waste of money mate, just as it's kicking in you'll have finished the bag. Need 500g minimum to get any real use out of it.

Depends what he's expecting. Colloquial reports on here suggest it helps recovery - I, for instance, love not having crippling DOMS the morning after each workout. :)

From a sustained IGF/GH perspective and associated gains, perhaps, but even an isolated dose has a measurable physiological effect. :)

DAA is awesome. I love it. It's the one supp I swear by at the moment. Cycle 4-5 weeks on and the same off and you'll see some great effects from it

Strength is noticeably higher when using it and focus is a lot better. You have to dose is quite highly, like OAKG, the recommended dose won't do much. But taking 10g a day did wonders for me. I always make sure I use it now, I hate cycling off of it :D
 
But i havent done a single one of them without doing research in to the topic and then making an informed deicison, and to get a benefit from them other then "because its cool".

There is a big difference between doing something "because its cool" and doing something because you will gain a benefit out of it regardless of why others do it.

Happy to be called a "bandwagoneer" as i pointed out, but not for lack of making an informed decision.

ITs like your personal decision your looking to make, you wouldnt make it without looking in to it, but it would easily be labeled "bandwagon" because your not the first to be doing it ;)
