Yep especially as now exchange rate has dropped from 1.58 (my current stock) down to 1.50 which means new stock is a lot more expensive.

Makes these deals even better!!

Product we buy like VGA comes from far east/US, as such it is sold to us in USD (American Dollars).

So if a product cost $400

When the rate is 1.60 our cost would be 400/1.60 = £250.00

When the rate is 1.50 like it is now our cost is 400/1.50 = £266.66


So as you can see this forces the cost of the product higher by £16.66 and this is why in the UK fuel prices and computer components are moving upwards in prices quite a bit from where they were a few weeks ago.

If the rate drops to 1.40ish, prices will go even higher.

If the rate recovers to 1.60ish then prices will come back down.

Exchange rates have everything to do with pricing, see my explanation above.

good prices on all cards but the extra £40 for the ghz doesnt seem like a great deal compared to the standard one which is only 100mhz less and thats easily changed in ccc

It's the same card, just comes a little bit higher stock. Just clock the other one and put the £40 elsewhere.

p.s. unreal price on the 7970s. Sell your gamecode for £35 or so and you just a 7970 @ £265!

The GHZ edition is worth it if you want the guaranteed 1100 Mhz speed the no GHZ edition won't necessarly reach 1100 these cards are now voltage locked, my non Ghz edition will only hit 1060-70 stable but memory hits 1500 so it's all good.
