Downsizing from a triple rad system

I've been running a watercooled system for a few years now and I've ditched the idea of cooling graphics cards because basically i want just drop any new card in without the hassle of breaking down the loop.

Anyway, I'm currently running my IB with it's own triple rad. Problem is that triple rad cases are quite limited and I don't want a bulky case anymore.

So was thinking of downsizing he case and thus the triple rad for a dual.

Would i notice much difference?

Would a 2 x dual rad system work?

Any case recommendations for a dual rad set up.

Thanks

If its just an ivy cpu then yeah 2 dual 120 rads will be fine more than fine in fact. In terms of case how much do you want to spend? the ghost will do dual 240s with minimal effort and looks classy, although might have to mod slightly to fit a rad up front. The c70 could be another option if you wanted the bling

I'd be looking at a CM 690 II, will take a slim 240 in the roof, thick 240 in the bottom and its quite a small case! Not too shabby looking for the price tag either :)

Hey man, I'm in exactly the same boat!

Changing graphics cards over is a mish.

Cases have come so far these days internally (at least thats the impression I got when working on the Prodigy) I want to downsize my TJ07 (Quad Bot/Triple in roof rads).

Ghost looks good btw.

Depends what form factor Huddy plans to use, if he has ATX or above he can instantly rule out the Prodigy (itx) & Parvum (matx). Unless a motherboard switch is on the cards too.

Im using a 3770k overclocked to 4.6ghz stable using only a single thermochill pa120 and its great. no need for a double rad just for the cpu. and dual fans on low.

Thanks for the replies.. I'd like to stick with an ATX board as don't fancy switching the form. I've been looking at the 810 Switch for some time but rather see it for myself before hand. The height difference isn't a big saving but it looks a decent case.

Also, I'd like to retain the 750 dual bay res if i can.

I quite like the look of the BitFenix Shinobi XL :

Can host 3x120mm fans at the top? triple rad possible?

Nice and wide too 245mm for decent cable management.

It is worth pointing out that a Thermochill PA is more than twice as thick as a standard rad, that will skew the comparison between a PA120.1 and a normal 240 somewhat, I am in favour of a single thick 120 rad though as I think that's a great option for space saving while retaining performance.

Looks that way: "Cooling Top: 2 x 230mm (x 1 included), or 3 x 120mm (optional)"

The switch will take 3 140/120s in the roof with room for up to 80mm rads if your happy to just go pull, can also take another 2 * 140 in the front or bottom maybe both with a little ingenuity and also a 140 at the rear if you really wanted although to do the front you do need to loose the drive bays which with a dual bay res/pump and a o/d would mean some creating mounting of hard drives
