New job, Car or Flat?

I got my BMW 530D before I move out, got the car a month ago, now saving towards the house with my other half, we now have the car all we gotta do is run it, so if I were in your shoes I would get the car first since once you got it, you got it. Cause running your own place won't be cheap unless you budget for it.. but thats my two cents. I'm sure with careful saving you will get both in the long run :)

Get the New Job, that was an option right ? Seeing as it was a comma, not a full stop.

I would sort the flat first.

I see you're from Surrey.. you know it is crazy expensive round here right? Where are you / would you be moving to?

If you are working at Gatwick for example if you looked around the Horsham way it will be much cheaper than up in Surrey.

Just recently sold my Civic Type-R to switch to a Focus as lower running costs etc, at the same time as I moved out and just started renting a flat.

Make me out to be some sort of scum here? Not very helpful really. Nothing nice/helpful to say, don't say it.

Its because here in GD, everyone is perfect. No ones ever broke the law and theyve all been saving since before they were born. Best armchair experts on the planet. I often wonder how many share the strong opinions they have on here face to face :-)

you can sleep in a car but cant race a house.

although I don't imagine an s2000 would be the comfiest of places to kip.

better buy a Scooby wagon instead

I never get this. I guess its because people get things easy at home. A friend of mine STILL lives at home and he is in his early/mid 30's. He has just gotten a decent job after being paid a pittance for along time. His folks bailed him out of about £13K of debt and he still lives at home. I cant believe his folks havnt given him a kick up the arse especially recently when he spent £700 on a new 50" TV(He already had a decent 40") and then a month later he spent a grand on a new bike (His old one has probably cost him about 3-4K). He obviously gets it too easy at home and doesnt want to move out. I moved out over 11 years ago and never (Well the odd time) regretted it. I could not imaging not having my own space.

Get your own place, you have a car that will do for now.

I am working at Gatwick, currently live around the Lingfield area, was looking south of the Gatwick area for a flat anyways.
