Nothing against social networking sites, but FB is a social marketing site.

Every update brings more adverts.

Does anyone else feel worse about targeted adverts? Every time I get an advert that has been blatantly chosen for me based on my interests, I feel a little bit insulted that they are trying to say they 'know' me. It's a bit like uncanny valley for advertising - the closer they get to 'me' the more disgusted I am by it.

I'm the opposite actually - I'd rather somebody showed me something I might be interested in than something utterly irrelevant to me.

It is a nice looking design, but from what I can see facebook have created it to make one thing stand out more and thats adverts, currently on my feed once I filter out the crap "like this to save x" "like to be in for a chance of Y" there are not that many pictures and you can guarantee an advert has an image associated with it. So while they are orientating this update to make images stand out etc etc etc its just going to make adverts bigger and make them stand out more. Because you know, If the advert for some crappy iphone game is bigger im going to want to download it.
