I'm fortunate enough not to have a "manager" per se in my current workplace, so I don't experience the following problem I'm about to describe.
However in my previous workplace, and in other people's workplaces I've heard (far too often) pretentious managers, supervisors, or what have you, say stuff like:
- "I need this by the end of play"
- "We must ensure a streamlined operation"
- "You must use your experience as leverage"
Who bloody speaks like that in real life? Honestly?
