Hi guys I have been offered an OCZ Octane which uses the Ilindix Everest controller, just wondering if it is any good or not? I know they previously used sandforce which was frowned upon?

So wondering if this new controller is on par with the the controllers used by Crucial and Samsung.

Also read an article that Ilindix is actually built by Marvell which can only be a good thing?

Thanks

I would still prefer SF controllers than Marvell. I have been using Intel 5xx series of SSDs including the latest 525 that uses custom SandForce firmware that’s only available on Intel SSDs. Overall very happy with this product!
