Last year, I noticed him close to me when I was washing the car or doing gardening. He always seemed quite curious as to what I was doing and I began to see him around regularly. I bought a bird table to help the birds out with food over winter and he was always the first to land on it. With me being a lazy blighter I moved the table closer to my kitchen window so that I could lean out and fill it with birdseed without having to go outside in the snow. Pretty soon he was flying down whenever he saw me open the window. I moved the table back into the garden, but he kept flying up to the window regardless, so it all went from there really.

He has a female companion who is equally intrepid!
