Surely potatoes are more traditionally Irish than Guinness, people should wear green and eat spuds today instead of get rissoled on the black stuff.

Potatoes aren't traditionally Irish at all, they were introduced by the either the Spanish or the English.

Like everything these days, the whole thing has become too commercial. I think I saw St. Patrick's Day cards in the card shop :/

I imagine most people who go out and 'celebrate' it have no idea who he was or what he did.

He stood ten feet tall, shot lasers from his eyes, fire from his arse and could drink Guinness 'til the cows came home!

They ran out of potatoes in the supermarket yesterday, i heard two employees asking the manager to get more from stock.

How Ironic lol..

St Patricks day for me means better tasting Guinness for the next few weeks as the pipes get flushed out by people who never normally drink it.

Well so much for only having a few. Im half tore at the min. Despite the fact tomorrow is a bank holiday here im working as I work with an English mortgage lender. Just hope I get an easy day tomorrow lol!

I won't be celebrating my Irish roots this year, instead I'm working to finish my assignment for tomorrows deadline.

Wearing Green though!
