Mineral water , who drinks it?

I think tap water does vary wildly in quality, so it depends where you live

my friends in Reading filter their water down there but when they come home to the North East they dont.

I stopped drinking coke about 4 years ago now. Have not touched it since, don't miss it. I have not drank tap water (unless i have to) going on 10 years now.

What i drink

1 liter of bottle water per day
4,5 liter of M&S not from concentrate fruit juices per week
1-2 coffees a day
2-4 beers a day.

Sometimes ill have a lipton ice tea as well. Probably about 3x 500ml a week.

I just need to cut down on beers.

well if i drink normal water, i dont feel relaxed at all , mineral water is doing something for my matabolism and well being...

I like water from the mountains. Evian is from french alps and the highland spring is from scotland mountains. When you put it in the fridge it gets this glossy feel to it because all the minerals getting cold a reacting. The body is made up of 75% water so it is very important and people don't take it very seriously and think because its endless from the tap, who cares.

london water is terrible with all the lime in it, definitely not good for you.

Can't drink tap water tastes different to bottled water and just ewwww.

I used to carry a 2L bottle of mineral water around with me EVERYWHERE while I was going hardcore in the gym, struggle to drink 1L a day now :(

That is the placebo effect and nothing more.

No they're not.

There's no scientific evidence to support that.

I suspect the OP wasn't actually drinking that much 'normal' water to begin with, and has now changed to dropping drinking tea/coffee/fizzy etc, in favour of just drinking mineral water. (Which means the results of drinking water over the other types really don't surprise me).

I imagine that in his spare time Burnsy2023 goes around telling kids Santa and the Tooth Fairy don't exist, whilst stealing their sweets.

Err, yes they do.
Down here in Bath, our tapwater has a higher mineral content than most bottled mineral waters. Sure, it may not be the greatest tasting tapwater in Britain, but that's why we invented orange squash.
Does make a mess of the kettle though...

Bath water (as in the city, not the tub) really does taste like bum! I think my initial thoughts on first tasting was something along the lines of pencil sharpenings...

The biggest con ever played is having water bottled and priced tagged in supermarkets.

It is with the prices, I was shocked. Started drinking plain water and its disgusting. However now I have some bottles, will fill up from the tap and just get bottled water when I need to replace the bottles. Or perhaps I should look at buying some sort of proper bottle.
