Anybody with a USB port in the car??????

Mine has both front and rear, and since the bluetooth module is USB, and needs to be in all the time, it means you always have an unsightly module sticking out the front as I much prefer to have the ipod stashed away!

My Alpine HU has a separate interface for my ipod, leaving the USB port on the back free which I find pretty handy. I generally use my iPod for albums I leave in there for months at a time, and then use USB media for songs I update every week or two.

DO WANT!

My existing solution has a standard USB stick which glows bright orange making the car look funny. Also it annoys me.

I assume these don't glow?

Shouldn't you care more about the fact you have a massive gapping hole than the length of a USB stick? It's that like putting glitter on a turd?

As stated already - the blanking plate I got from ebay was the wrong size. Correct new plate ordered.

I love the way write speeds were tested, but reads weren't.

Incredibly useful to work out if the transfer rate is high enough for smooth navigation and even video playback (for those of us that can play videos from USB).

My guess is, it's going to be pretty weak.

I thought they stoped making those sort of HU displays in 2007? :p

Retro!

FYI, i've had an Ipod Photo (HDD) which is located in my boot for the past 6 - 7 years, still functions 100%.
